Swing into Christmas with The Jay Cee Big Band

A selection of Christmas favourites with some exciting arrangements of everything from Santa Claus Is Coming To Town to a swinging version of Hark The Herald Angels Sing, entitled "Yo Hark! Those Angels Swing".  Experience the fiery improvisational talents of the band in "We Three Kings" and sit back and relax to some beautiful ballad playing.  

This evening will be everything you hope for from a Big Band at Christmas with a sprinkling of seasonal surprises and the occasional bad joke.

The 17-piece Jay Cee Big Band has been delighting audiences in and around Cheltenham for over 60 years with their unique blend of classic big band jazz music, including works by Count Basie, Duke Ellington and Tubby Hayes, as well as contemporary compositions by Gordon Goodwin, Pat Metheny, Tom Kubis, and many others.

For the perfect kick start to the festive period Peter Gill's 'Rockin & Swingin Christmas Evening' with his rock n roll 8 piece band is always the answer.

This will be a fantastic night of festive 50s rock n roll with a big band sound featuring such hits as 'Nutrocker', 'Great Balls Of Fire', 'Rock Around The Clock', 'Santa Claus is Coming In A Boogie Woogie Choo Choo Train', 'Santa Bring My Baby Back To Me', 'Run Run Rudolph', 'Santa Claus Boogie', 'Santa Claus Is Comin To Town', 'Winter Wonderland', 'Jailhouse Rock', 'Reet Petite', 'Mack The Knife' and of course 'Feliz Navidad plus many others.

A wonderful evening filled with great, feelgood tunes and plenty of humour - simply too good to miss.
